2026 WHA Taiwan Digital Health Forum: AI Governance and Digital Health Innovation

The core objective of Taiwan’s delegation at this year’s forum is to present to the international community Taiwan’s forward-looking strategies in AI governance. We aim to shape Taiwan’s global profile in digital health through the following two major themes:

Taiwan’s Forward-Looking Framework and Achievements in Medical AI Governance

The Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Information Management Office will introduce Taiwan’s unique Three Centers Governance Mechanism, a key regulatory framework designed to ensure the safe and effective implementation of medical AI. Representative leading hospitals will also share real-world outcomes from the application side, illustrating how Taiwan leverages a robust governance system to safeguard AI safety, performance, and reliability. Through these presentations, we aim to demonstrate Taiwan’s concrete progress in Responsible AI, including validation and sustainability.

The Innovative Strength of Taiwan’s Digital Health Industry

Through the comprehensive health data foundation and application promotion of the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA), we will introduce the outstanding application cases of Taiwan’s smart medical device manufacturers to the world. This year, we feature three key domains:

● Medical AI : Cutting-edge AI solutions that enhance precision diagnostics.
● Medical Robotics : The evolving synergy between advanced technology and clinical care.
