Promoting Inovation in Antimicrobia Resistance: Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment

This side event is hosted by the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) and Active Citizenship Network (ACN) two organizations working to advance prevention-oriented responses to antimicrobial resistance.

The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is a global advocacy organization focused on strengthening policies and partnerships to address infectious diseases. Its work emphasizes prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control (IPC), and the integration of One Health approaches into global health strategies.

Objectives

• Highlight prevention, IPC, and antimicrobial stewardship as core pillars of the AMR response

• Share practical experiences from hospital-based and academic AMR programmes

• Showcase education and training initiatives that support responsible antimicrobial use

• Promote a One Health approach linking human, animal, and environmental health

• Strengthen collaboration between clinicians, civil society, international organizations, and policymakers
