Event objectives
- Strengthen recognition of pain as a prevalent, high-impact, cross-cutting health issue across conditions, populations, and care settings
- Strengthen coherence across existing WHO and WHA mandates relevant to pain, and support their implementation across programmes and strategies
- Identify key gaps and systemic barriers undermining equitable access to effective pain care globally
- Explore pathways to strengthen coordinated global action on pain, including policy coherence, implementation approaches, and strategic partnerships
- Introduce and discuss the role of a Global Pain Coalition in supporting alignment, advocacy and coordinated implementation across stakeholders.
