Operationalizing the Lung Cancer Agenda: A Pathway to Measurable Progress

The Swedish Institute for Health Economics (IHE), the Lung Cancer Policy Network and MSD are pleased to invite you to a closed-door workshop on the sidelines of World Health Assembly in Geneva on May 19th.

This session, led by Dr. Thomas Hofmarcher (IHE), will convene a small group of invited stakeholders to advance efforts to improve lung cancer outcomes following the Lung Health Resolution and Lung Cancer Consensus Statement. In 2025, The Swedish Institute of Health Economics (IHE), working with experts, policymakers and advocates, developed a global lung cancer KPI framework drawing on existing indicators and a consultative prioritization process. This framework was then tested in several countries in early 2026.

This invite-only workshop will provide an opportunity to reflect on lessons from the testing, discuss implementation challenges, and identify pathways for broader uptake and impact.
