Background:

Dengue fever is endemic in over 100 countries. 2024-2025 saw record numbers, exceeding 19.72 million cases and over 15,000 dengue-related deaths. Few of the current dengue control guidelines explore or review innovative and community-level interventions.

GX Foundation has used low-cost physical means to successfully control Dengue since 2020 in 10 countries across 4 continents, using Mosquito Lamps, Sticky Fly Traps, Bed Nets, Rapid Dengue Test Kits, and Education Materials.

Research results of the projects in Timor-Leste and Honduras were published in the March 2025 and March 2026 editions of The Lancet.

In addition to hospitals and local communities, GX’s Dengue physical control projects cover airports, ports, highways, railways, and waterways to kill mosquitoes in their tracks.

GX will share in detail our experience in physical dengue control.
