Hybrid Session: The International Working Group on the Economics of Disease Elimination and Integration (IWG-EDEI)
As global health priorities evolve, the economics of disease elimination and integration is gaining importance as a key driver of effective policy and financing decisions. Yet despite growing analytical work, its impact remains constrained by fragmented evidence, limited alignment with policy needs, and insufficient platforms to translate insights into actionable priorities.
The World Health Assembly offers a timely platform to advance this agenda, convening Ministers of Health, multilateral agencies, and technical leaders at a pivotal moment for health systems transformation. Hosted by Global Institute for Disease Elimination, the International Working Group on the Economics of Disease Elimination and Integration (IWG-EDEI) hybrid session will bring together participants and selected stakeholders to connect recent work with forward-looking discussion on priorities, methods, and evidence most relevant for policy and financing decisions.
The session will feature a Thanzi Labwino showcase alongside a structured discussion to refine a shared research agenda, strengthen alignment between evidence and policy needs, and identify practical next steps for collaboration over the next 12 months.
To virtually join, please register through completing the form by Thursday, May 7th, 2026 to receive access details ahead of the session.
