Countdown to the UNHLM on NCDS: From Bangkok to New York
A series of engaging discussions and panels focused on accelerating progress towards achieving UHC for oral health by 2030.
Background The Bangkok Declaration on Oral Health advocates for elevating oral diseases as a global public health priority. It calls for oral diseases to be reflected in the Political Declaration of the 4th UNHLM on NCDs, proposing the integration of the key targets from the Global oral health action plan 2023-2030. Additionally, the Global Coalition on Oral Health was formed, providing a collaborative platform for united action among Member States and partners.
Objectives
- Promote the Bangkok Declaration in shaping the UNHLM Declaration on NCDs.
- Identify opportunities for a coordinated effort among stakeholders to ensure oral diseases are prioritized in the future global NCD agenda.
- Highlight best practices integrating oral diseases prevention and control into NCD and UHC frameworks.
