Building the Economic Case for Domestic Investment in Health R&D in Africa
A continent-wide macroeconomic assessment of the return on investment of public spending on health R&D has been commissioned. The study models GDP impact, employment creation, private investment crowd-in, long-run productivity and innovation spillovers, trade and competitiveness gains. This side event will formally launch and finalize the findings of this project and introduce the foundations of a Health R&D Investment Blueprint for Africa.
