Bridging Neurology and NCDs: An Integrated Approach to IGAP Implementation
This event will mark the launch of our new Policy Paper, developed ahead of the 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health:
‘Ensuring Neurological Conditions are a Distinct Pillar in the NCD Response’
The paper sets out our key asks to Member States and stakeholders to ensure that neurological conditions are fully integrated into the NCD response:
Name neurological conditions as a priority NCD in the Political Declaration, with dedicated visibility across targets and monitoring.
Translate that recognition into action, through political commitment, funding, and implementation of the WHO IGAP as part of NCD and UHC strategies.
Work with the neurology community — including people with lived experience — to shape policies that are practical, inclusive, and rights-based.
