African High-Level Ministerial Committee Meeting on Global Health Architecture Reform

The AHLMC was established a s a strategic ministerial platform t o strengthen Africa’s collective voice and leadership in ongoing global health governance reforms. Following its official launch during the high-level session o f the World Health Summit
Regional Meeting i n Nairobi on 2 7 April 2026, the Committee is now positioned t o play a critical role i n aligning continental priorities and advancing coordinated African positions i n key global health processes.

This meeting provides a timely opportunity for African Ministers o f Health and partners to consolidate a shared vision and harmonize positions ahead of the World Health Assembly. It will serve as a platform to agree o n common priorities, strengthen
strategic coordination, and enhance Africa’s influence i n shaping the evolving global health architecture.

The meeting will convene AHLMC Co-Chairs, Ministers of Health, representatives of the African Union Commission, Regional Economic Communities, Africa CDC, and key global health partners, including multilateral organizations, development finance
institutions, philanthropic foundations, and the private sector. Your participation would be highly valued, particularly i n advancing dialogue around sustainable health financing, innovation, and partnerships for Africa’s health sovereignty.
