Advancing Maternal Health Through AI-Enabled Medical Devices and Software

Wednesday, May 20, 2026 | 7:00PM-9:00PM | Geneva, Switzerland

We are pleased to host a multi-stakeholder roundtable during the World Health Assembly to convene delegates of Ministries of Health, global health experts from the public, private and multilateral sectors, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and other key stakeholders to discuss the challenges, potential solutions/partnership and key action items needed to empower health care providers and reduce costly disruptions to health systems.

This session presents a pioneering approach to transforming training for nurses and midwives through AI-enabled medical devices and software, with game-changing implications for healthcare delivery, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Traditional training methods for obstetric ultrasound can take months, draining time and resources from already stretched health systems. By contrast, AI-assisted solutions have condensed training to just a few days—without compromising accuracy or quality of care.

The event is in collaboration with Philips.
