Securing the Future of Global Health – United Front for Sustainable Financing
This event is organized by IDA, GHTC, ASTMH, PATH, World Health Summit and the Amref Health Africa.
With shifting donor priorities and growing funding uncertainties, essential health programs—including those tackling infectious diseases, NCDs, maternal and child health, and health system strengthening—face increasing challenges. Now more than ever, sustainable financing mechanisms are needed to ensure long-term investments in global health, including those that spur the development of new tools and strengthen the research ecosystem, saving lives, and bringing wider economic benefits.
Objectives:
- Discuss the changing global health financing landscape and risks posed by declining donor funding.
- Explore innovative financing models (blended finance, public-private partnerships, catalytic funding).
- IDA is convening key stakeholders to advance the outcomes of this discussion through the Global Health Financing Coalition—a platform dedicated to driving sustainable investments in global health.
