From Resolution to Implementation: Shaping the Future of Global Stroke Care
We are pleased to host a multi-stakeholder roundtable during the World Health Assembly to discuss adoption of the landmark stroke resolution, “Reducing the burden of stroke: strengthening prevention, acute care, rehabilitation and health-system readiness”, and the opportunities to support its implementation and accountability in member states. This resolution marks a historic milestone: for the first time, Member States are considering a comprehensive mandate to reduce the burden of stroke across prevention, acute care, rehabilitation and health-system readiness. Participants will showcase country case studies and the investment case for stroke, build awareness on advocacy campaigns and the role of stroke survivors and caregivers, and highlight the role of collaboration in driving access to evidence-based, cost-effective interventions and stroke plan adoption.
The event is in collaboration with the Global Stroke Action Coalition and the Ministry of Health and Population of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This event is by invitation only. To learn more or register your interest, please contact lifesciences@bciu.org.
