Global Health Equity: A Shared Responsibility in Addressing NCDs Burden for All, including Migrants and Refugees

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are a major global health challenge, disproportionately affecting refugees and migrants who often face significant barriers to prevention, diagnosis, and care.
Join us for a high-level side event that will bring together Ministries of Health, UN agencies, international organizations, and non-state actors to explore strategies for ensuring equitable access to NCD prevention and care—including for refugees,
migrants, and other displaced populations.

Co-organized by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Peru, WHO Health and Migration, and IOM, this event will present the latest evidence, highlight successful policies and initiatives, and discuss inclusive policy approaches. This dialogue will inform global preparations for the upcoming High-Level Meeting on NCDs and the Political Declaration to be adopted at the next UN General Assembly
