The Intelligent Age: Redefining Healthcare for the Future
The global health landscape is under increasing strain from the interconnected challenges of the polycrisis, an ageing population, the rise of non-communicable diseases and widening health inequities. These challenges, compounded by climate change and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), underscore the urgent need for action-oriented dialogue among cross- sector leaders to strengthen resilience and equity.
As a neutral convener and incubator of public-private partnerships, the World Economic Forum is uniquely positioned to gather key stakeholders during the World Health Assembly to catalyse action. This inaugural Annual Health Summit will explore critical topics such as addressing health disparities, strengthening health systems and mitigating global health risks. With a focus on initiatives of impact, innovative policy recommendations and the transformative potential of data-driven solutions such as AI, the summit aims to drive collaboration and deliver sustainable health improvements in the Intelligent Age.
The programme will have three key objectives:
- Advance innovative solutions, including AI, across global health priorities, resulting in improvements in policy, advocacy, infrastructure, access, outcomes, efficiency, workforce, financing, technology and data
- Facilitate cross-regional policy dialogues and workshops to improve equity, access and outcomes in health
- Highlight the significance of public-private partnerships for mitigating health risks
