Call from African Member States to prevent, detect and respond to antimalarial drug resistance in Africa

This side event will address the urgent and growing threat of
antimalarial drug resistance (AMDR) across sub-Saharan Africa.
There is a critical need for coordinated action to prevent a
reversal of hard-won gains in malaria control. The event will
highlight the urgent need to operationalize the WHO Strategy
to Respond to Antimalarial Drug Resistance in Africa. The
session aims to catalyze global commitment and action at the
highest political level to ensure the continued effectiveness of
malaria interventions and support country-level resilience.
